I've been teaching (and consequently learning about) sacred sexuality in California for over seven years. Our community used to host 1 puja per month, and now the SD Tantra Connection averages TEN events per calendar month! Through the years, we've been growing and evolving. San Diego has become a Mecca for tantra in the Western World. One of the things we've learned is that the chakra puja is not the only way to worship the divine within one another. We've branched out into workshops, rituals, retreats, discussions, oil parties, playshops, even loveshops! Now, I'm about to offer a completely different type of event: The Sacred Sensual Play-Party. Tantra is afterall, experiential. And there is only so much one can learn from a lecture. One can only go so far when their experience is dictated by a facilitator. The Play-Party allows us to listen to our spontaneous sexual intuition. It empowers us to follow our YES, and gives us permission to express our NOs. This is what you've been asking for. "How can I learn about Tantra beyond intellectualizing what's been written in books?" For almost a year, I've been collaborating with REiD Mihalko, one of the founders of Cuddle PartyTM and Speed Flirting. We've been trying to answer the basic question: How can we create a SAFE environment to explore and express our unique Sacred Sexual Energy? And this inquiry has lead us to launch a Monthly series of Sacred Sensual Play Parties. WHAT IS A SACRED PLAY PARTY? It's a sweet sensual event where we gather to flirt, touch, massage, run tantric energy, play, laugh, cry, and share intimacy, vulnerability or whatever else spontaneously arises. It's a drug and alcohol-free party where we can relax and connect with like-minded people. Singles, married couples, celibates of any race, experience and sexual orientation are welcome. Most importantly, this is a laboratory to practice expressing what feels good and what doesn't, asking to get your needs met, and perhaps even overcoming rejection! HOW TO PREPARE: Start by RSVPing to Kamala@blisscoach.com because space is limited. And then ask yourself: What would your inner god/goddess wear? Is she soft, silky, sexy or would she wear a black fishnet tank top? Dress in Layers and wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and confident. Clothing is optional. Bring a pillow, blanket, towel and vegetarian nibblets to share at the optional potluck. (No red meat, garlic and onions discouraged.) THE AGREEMENTS: Please arrive on time. The doors will be closed once the "Sacred Circle" Begins. We will facilitate an invocation, ice breakers and introductions. You will be asked to introduce yourself, your highest intentions and your bottom lines. All participation is completely optional and confidential. Verbal permission is required before engaging in any touch. Everyone is given permission to say No at any time for any reason, and if they say yes they are encouraged to change their minds, at any time for any reason. The hosts are available to intervene or mediate if anyone feels unsafe in any way. Everyone is encouraged to take 100% responsibility for their own experience. Sacred sensual energy exchange is encouraged! THE DETAILS: The first Sacred Play Party will be held on Sat. July 12th from 6pm until midnight. Only $10 per person. The Potluck starts at 6pm.
