How to Select a coach: I could no more tell you who'd be a good coach for you, than I could tell you who you'd mate well with. You have to feel around a bit. But before you begin shopping, I invite you to take a radical self inventory: What do you want from Coaching?
+ Would you like support on a specific project, a certain aspect of life, or life in general?
+ Is it important to you that your coach have years of experience, degrees and/or certificates?
+ Do you want to follow a proven path, or blaze your own?
+ Do you want someone who is part time coach and can work with you in other modalities, or a full time coach?
+ Are you looking for someone who can work with you in person, over the phone, email, and or with hands on sessions?
+ What about style, do you want a coach who is a cheerleader or drill sergeant?
+And of course, ask yourself what it's worth for you to Transform your life? How much are you willing to invest in yourself?
Now, that you have a sense of what your looking for, read through the following list, browse the available websites and reach out to the people that resonate with you. Most coaches offer free, no-strings-attached sample coaching session or at least mini-sessions. How cool is that?
To make the most of these calls, bring a specific 'issue' to discuss - the more specific the better - and actively engage in the coaching process. Ultimately, be honest with yourself, your prospective coaches, and trust your intuition!
