Artist and TantraNova practitioner, Freddy Zental, takes his audience on a truly entertaining and often hilarious journey through his life experiences concerning intimacy, sex and love. All the good stuff! The play is packed with storytelling, drumming, singing and movement. All are used in service of demystifying those intimate, personal impacting moments that so often go unexamined or trivialized.
Like your first exposure to sexual energy or your first orgasm, your first true love. As Zental’s personal story unfolds the audience is reminded, “As you listen to my story think about your own”. The play therefore is a playful invitation for us all to get in touch with old feelings, and fixed ways of being and remember our dreams and passions.
Zental intentionally created the play as an introduction to tantra as a new (though spiritually quite old) approach to connecting and manifesting creativity and joy in our work, play, relationships and life. For many the concept of sexual intelligence is completely new. And the word tantra itself is misunderstood as a hedonistic practice relating only to the sex act itself. Yet tantra understands sexual energy as life force energy. They are one and the same. Sexual intelligence is the very energy of creation. We wouldn’t exist without it!
It is only when we have come to terms fully with our sexual selves and learn practices of consciousness and focus which draw on our sexual intelligence that we are able to reach our full human potential.
Through the drama of storytelling, song and drumming rhythm audiences are better able to connect to this creative life force energy and these ideas no longer seem so far-fetched. Visual multi-media and the introduction of meditation give the audience a real sense of tapping into something beyond the linear left brain.
