The feminine is taking in and filling ourselves up, the masculine is releasing and letting go. The masculine and feminine energies in the body also have a directional flow and a cycle of movement. When the masculine and the feminine forces merge and come into contact, whether within one’s own body or with another, sexual excitement results, eventually culminating in full body orgasm if the natural flow is unimpeded. But this internal flow, as well as the circuit formed when two individuals come together, loses its integrity when a person’s internal connection between heart and the genitals is severed.

Next we explore the four parts of the breath cycle and some of the blocks to the natural unfolding of sexual excitement, how these blocks are held in the body and related to personality and relationship issues, and how to dissolve them. Finally, we discover that in orgasm, we actually become the other polarity. Male becomes female and female becomes male. If we resist this surrender of our original sexual identity because we are afraid of it or unfamiliar with it, we limit our orgasmic potential. We use psychodrama to explore the concept of the balanced triangle – one in which both feminine and masculine forces within the body and the personality are synchronized so they can support each other. The parental triangle forged by the mother, the father, and the child provides the model on which our internal triangle is based, and becomes a template for future relationships.
